A warmer way to find a home.

HalalRoommate was built from 2012 by MSA McGill graduates. The journey started in Montreal, Canada, as we were looking for roommates who would help us grow our deen, live in an Islamic environment, and keep it halal.

What began as a small project to help Muslim students and newcomers find roommates who shared their values grew into something wider — a place where anyone can look for a calm, respectful home with people who fit their life.

We're not a giant real-estate portal, and we're not a dating app. We're a community marketplace, built by and for people who understand that a good home changes everything.

What we believe
